I've got 10 minutes until I have to leave for an appointment, so this will have to be brief.
I've been trying to catch up on all my blog reading this morning. I feel bad that everyone else seemed to be able to write throughout the holidays and I didn't. Of course, they didn't move, either!
I'm also feeling good that I'm not the only one who is glad to get the "kids" back to school so I can get back to some semblance of my routines. I am definitely a creature of habit.
This moving has me very inspired to declutter and minimize the amount of stuff in my house. The majority of the boxes are in the garage, and after bringing some in, I take a box of stuff to get rid of back out to the garage. I'm thinking my Easter project will be Yard Sale Planning.
I'm also in major organizing mode. I may be getting all OCD about it, but it gives me such pleasure to have things in set places and to make order out of chaos.
This morning I got up at 5 a.m. and went back to the "old house" where my gym is still set up in the garage. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, several of them at 4 mph, and it felt so good to blow out the cobwebs after a week or more of no intentional exercise.
While my eating is still not spectacular, it hasn't been compulsive or binge eating, either, and in my daily scale checks I'm starting to come back down from the minor holiday bloat I gained.
In my week of eating what and when I wanted, I had something new happen. On two separate days I decided not to eat until I actually felt real hunger. This has always been unheard of for me, because I could never imagine not eating! On both days I went until 1 or 2 p.m., and even after that I didn't "rebound" by eating everything in sight. In fact, that night when we went out for supper I brought half my meal home because I was full and didn't want to stuff myself.
Well, my 10 minutes is up. Sorry if this post was pretty disconnected; it's pretty much how my mind is working in general these days.

Your time of year is wrong I totally realize - but when we moved into this house - early fall - I did have a garage sale and got rid of major amounts of furniture BEFORE we moved - I thought that was IT - then when we got here - anything that I had doubts about - boxes, stuff, furniture - stayed in the garage. Me - who thought I had weeded it all out in advance - ended up having a MUCH larger garage sale after the move - it was amazing - when it came to hanging it on a wall, putting in a cupboard, thinking about it taking up floor space - what I decided would go. I think I've mentioned before - my mother thinks we should all move every 5 years so we don't accumulate - that is why I have been SO GOOD about going through, going through, going through - from one end of the house - to the other just continuously. . .
I felt a little guilty about wanting school to start, but I made sure the day before my 10 year old son went back to school, we had fun. I took my two kids to Chuckie Cheese for lunch and play.
I hope your move is going smoothly.
